How strong and what flavors should I expect?

The series generally sits in the medium‑to‑full strength lane. Expect toasted cedar and baking spice early, a darker cocoa/bittersweet chocolate core, mineral/earth notes and a peppery finish (often more pronounced on the retrohale), with an early creaminess that tends to dry out to wood and black pepper later.

What sizes and special editions exist in the line?

At launch the line was offered in Demi (5. 5 x 46), No. 2 (6 1/8 x 52), Toro (6 x 54) and Churchill (7 x 52). The roster later expanded with an Espeso (5. 5 x 60) and special releases such as an Edición Diamante and a Casa de Montecristo Exclusivo (52 x 4½).

Is the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua a Nicaraguan puro?

Yes — the line is presented as a 100% Nicaraguan puro with Nicaraguan wrapper, binder and filler; the blend and tobaccos were sourced and blended with Grupo de Maestros, Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernández.

Where are these cigars made?

Production is carried out at AJ Fernández's factories in Nicaragua (the line is associated with Tabacalera/AJ Fernández's San Lotano operations), per multiple editorial reports and line reporting.

Flavor Profile

Cedar, baking spice, dark chocolate/cocoa, black pepper, earth

1935 Anniversary Nicaragua is a deliberate, soft‑pressed Nicaraguan puro created by the Grupo de Maestros with Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernández. Built entirely from Nicaraguan leaf and rolled at AJF, the cigar delivers toasted cedar and baking spice up front, a core of dark cocoa and mineral earth, and a peppery retrohale that carries into the finish. The soft box‑press widens the palate contact and produces a broader, firmer draw—strength generally sits medium‑full with a tobacco‑forward trajectory that earned industry recognition for certain vitolas.
