La Bohème returned under Rafael Nodal with a darker, maduro like face and a Nicaraguan core. The relaunched formula uses a Connecticut Broadleaf forward wrapper (some sources refine that to a Broadleaf/habano hybrid grown in Connecticut) over Nicaraguan binder and filler, rolled at AJ Fernández. The line presents a slightly gritty, low‑oil wrapper texture and ships in Mimi, Pittore, Poeta and Musico sizes. Smoking character sits medium to medium‑full: dark espresso and cocoa dominate early, balanced by toasted oak, dry earth and a black/red pepper top note, with a restrained creaminess and occasional vanilla or almond sweetness smoothing the midsection. The finish is dry, woody and slightly tannic—La Bohème's distinction is that Broadleaf wrapper reading like a maduro but keeping the structural dryness of aged Broadleaf and a Nicaraguan backbone that favors espresso over molasses sweetness.
