What is the Steel Horse blend and wrapper?

Steel Horse is wrapped in a proprietary Connecticut Habano Grueso leaf, uses a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and a filler made up of Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. That combination produces the line's dense smoke and the darker, leathery flavor character reviewers report.

Which sizes does Steel Horse come in?

At launch and in subsequent releases Steel Horse has been offered in large, slow‑burning formats such as Apehanger (5 1/2 x 58), Bullneck (6 1/2 x 66) and additional sizes like Handbrake (4 1/2 x 50) and Roadkill (5 1/2 x 54).

How strong is Steel Horse and what flavors should I expect?

Steel Horse sits in the medium‑to‑full strength lane. Expect leather, oak and coffee as core notes with a steady black pepper bite and recurring dark‑chocolate or cocoa undertones; occasional vanilla or raisin sweetness shows up but doesn't dominate.

How strong is the CAO Steel Horse?

CAO positions the Steel Horse in the medium‑to‑full strength lane — a cigar with a firm backbone that builds toward fuller intensity across the smoking session.

How does Steel Horse differ from CAO's Flathead line?

Steel Horse shares Flathead's flat cap styling but employs a different blend; where Flathead used other wrapper/binder choices, Steel Horse is built around the proprietary Connecticut Habano Grueso and a Brazilian Arapiraca binder, giving it a distinct leather, oak and pepper emphasis.

Leather, oak, coffee, black pepper, dark chocolate

Steel Horse takes the Flathead silhouette and fits it with thicker Habano Grueso leaf for a firmer, more robust smoke. Leather and oak lead with steady black pepper and coffee‑chocolate undertones, and the large gauges favor slow, smoky draws that reward patience. It's built for big moments—slow, textured sessions that emphasize weight and depth.
