OpusX is the family’s flagship puro: wrapper, binder and filler tied to the Chateau de la Fuente farm and presented in classic formats that range from robustos to lancero and larger coronas. The wrapper—dark, toothy Dominican leaf developed by the Fuentes—drives a profile that balances forward spice (red and black pepper) with a cocoa/coffee backbone, cedary structure and brown‑sugar sweetness that lingers into a leathery finish. Texture is dense and often oily, smoke output generous, and construction across core vitolas is consistently praised; young OpusX can be bracing, but the cigar rewards aging with added finesse and balance.
