About Highclere Castle

Highclere Castle is a collaboration between Highclere Castle and Foundation that began with an Edwardian Connecticut‑shade release and later added darker Victorian and limited Senetjer offerings. Rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua with a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan fillers, the line ranges from cedar and toffee on the lighter Edwardian releases to habano spice, cedar and toasted, earthy finishes on the darker editions.

ALL LINES

Edwardian pairs a Connecticut Shade wrapper with a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan fillers (including the Nicadán hybrid) to produce a mild‑to‑medium stick that leans on cedar, leather and a toffee/vanilla‑almond finish.

Filler

Nicaraguan (Criollo & Corojo; Nicadán hybrid)

Edwardian wears a pale Connecticut Shade leaf but the blend beneath is deliberately layered: a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan long‑fillers give the smoke structure and an earthy backbone. The profile favors cedar and leather with citrus highlights and a confectionary edge—think toffee, vanilla and almond—that appears through the midsection and finish. A steady pepper thread lifts the early stages before receding to warm coffee and a clean almond/coffee close. Built and boxed with care, this is a Connecticut‑shade experience that offers more mid‑palate presence than the palest Connecticut examples.

Habano Perfecto

Senetjer

ALL LINES

Senetjer is a single‑vitola (6¾×52) perfecto released under the Highclere Castle collaboration with a 7th‑priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a Brazilian Mata Fina binder; produced at AJ Fernández, it reads medium with toasted cedar, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and pepper.

Undisclosed (noted as ~3-year-old tobaccos)

Senetjer is a limited, themed perfecto that pairs a high‑priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a Mata Fina binder and an aged, undisclosed filler blend to produce a measured, medium‑strength progression. The cigar opens on toasted cedar, roasted coffee and dark chocolate, with earth and mixed‑nut undertones; black pepper and floral/topnote spice give early lift before mellowing to toasted oak and cream. Rolled as a double‑perfecto and aged after production, the format and construction support clear transitions and a focused flavor arc—an event‑grade, structured smoke built for attention.

Habano Sequel

Victorian

ALL LINES

Victorian is a darker companion to the original Highclere line, pairing an upper‑priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan Corojo/Criollo fillers; officially Medium but often running medium to medium‑plus, it emphasizes earth, cedar, baking spice and black pepper.

Sizes

  • Petit Corona (5.0" x 42)
  • Robusto (5.0" x 50)
  • Corona (5 1/2" x 46)
  • Toro (6.0" x 52)

Binder

Filler

Nicaraguan long-filler (Corojo & Criollo from Estelí, Jalapa and Ometepe)

Victorian amplifies Habano character: a higher‑priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan Corojo/Criollo fillers gives the cigar a darker, more developed profile than the original release. Expect earth and dark wood—cedar and char—balanced by baking spice and black pepper on the retrohale; midsections introduce toast and light cream before a toasted, tobacco‑driven finish. The blend keeps the focus tobacco‑forward rather than maduro sweetness, producing a measured medium profile that often tightens into medium‑plus as the smoke develops. Solid construction and a restrained presentation make it a deliberate, well‑built Habano option.
