Reserva Especial is LFD's Connecticut with teeth: an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over tobaccos grown and fermented on La Canela that delivers more heft than a typical shade leaf cigar. The natural expression leans medium to medium full with cedar and cream up front, roasted nut and mild baking spice elements, and a restrained pepper on the retrohale. The Broadleaf/maduro variant shifts toward bittersweet chocolate, molasses and meatier black pepper notes.
