The opening third typically brings a pronounced pepper edge that softens into leather, cedar and dessert-leaning notes—graham-cracker, nutmeg and caramel—while roasted-nut and spice elements hold through the middle and finish. Texture tends toward creamy smoke and steady draws when well made.
