El Año del Caballo is a Lunar New Year limited release rolled as a 7 x 58 Parejo Gordo and notable for its long, braided tobacco tail — a finishing touch that requires extra skill and humidity control. The construction pairs a Jalapa wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and a mixed Honduran/Nicaraguan filler, producing a medium‑full cigar that opens spicy and forceful, settles into a balanced middle, then picks up intensity late. Tasting notes center on oak, anise, cocoa nibs and espresso over a dry earthy backbone; occasional sweet moments (vanilla or cream) and popcorn‑like nuttiness appear in some samples. Plasencia released the cigar in a strictly limited run and packaged it in decorative 10‑count boxes, emphasizing its seasonal, collectible nature.
