Plasencia Alma Fuerte
Plasencia Alma Fuerte is an all‑Nicaraguan puro introduced in 2016 that uses Jalapa wrappers over Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí, Condega, Jalapa and Ometepe. Reviews and official notes trend toward cocoa and almonds with cedar, nutmeg and black pepper; the line generally sits in the medium to medium‑full strength lane and includes box‑pressed and hexagonal Sixto vitolas plus a Colorado Claro subline with a roughly ten‑year‑aged Jalapa wrapper.

Alma Fuerte is a farm‑first Nicaraguan puro built from Plasencia stock: a Jalapa wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and a mix of Estelí, Condega, Jalapa and Ometepe fillers. It favors a dense, mouthcoating smoke with a backbone of earth and espresso, recurring cocoa and almond notes, and a finish of cedar and warm baking spice such as nutmeg or cinnamon. Some samples show a minty lift on the cold draw or retrohale, which can brighten the darker core. Plasencia has used format and aging to change mouthfeel — the hexagonal, box‑pressed Sixto and the Colorado Claro with an aged Jalapa wrapper concentrate almond/cedar interplay and give a firmer, more compact delivery.
