Overview

About Aganorsa Leaf

In 1998, Eduardo Fernandez traveled to Nicaragua with a singular mission: to grow tobacco that captured the very soul of the legendary Cuban cigars of old. To do it right, he recruited a world-class team of Cuban agronomists — men who had spent careers at the highest levels of Cubatobaco and had overseen tobacco production during the golden era of Cuban cigars. They knew exactly what made that tobacco so revered, and they believed they could recreate its flavor and aroma using traditional Cuban cultivation methods combined with the exceptional growing conditions Nicaragua had to offer. That foundational commitment to authenticity and craft became the bedrock of what is today known as Aganorsa Leaf.

More than two decades and countless industry awards later, Aganorsa Leaf has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive names in premium handmade cigars — celebrated worldwide for a signature flavor that marries the rich terroir of Nicaragua with classic Cuban character. As a fully vertically integrated company, Aganorsa oversees every step of production from seed to ash, ensuring that every cigar rolled in their factories in Nicaragua and Miami is composed exclusively of their own highest-grade leaf, crafted under the direct oversight of Eduardo, his son Max, and their veteran team of Cuban supervisors. When you smoke an Aganorsa cigar, the difference isn't just in the blend — it's in the leaf itself.
