Diablo was conceived as Punch’s darker, louder entry: toothy Oscuro wrappers, dense packing and a filler mix aimed at weight and spice. The Sumatra Oscuro over Broadleaf and Habano ligero fillers delivers a drying, woody core—dark coffee, cedar and firm earth—with a persistent red/black pepper streak that keeps the smoke lively. Early samples sometimes show chocolate or seed‑nut notes, but the blend’s intent is a heavier, wood‑and‑spice presentation rather than delicate sweetness. Production at AJ Fernández’s Nicaraguan facilities generally earns praise for construction, so the line reads like an everyday, heavier hitter in Punch’s lineup rather than a boutique limited release.
