Plasencia Alma del Campo

Alma del Campo is a straightforward, provenance‑driven Nicaraguan puro: wrapper, binder and filler grown and tracked on Plasencia farms. Launched in 2017, the line offers traditional round vitolas and a later box‑pressed Travesía; wrappers tend toward milk‑chocolate to cinnamon brown with a light oily sheen and construction that skews tight and consistent. Plasencia’s approach here favors balance over pyrotechnics — measured extraction rather than sudden spice — with roasted coffee and nut tones (espresso, cashew/peanut) framed by cedar, cocoa and baker’s spice. The texture leans creamy, sweetness and darker‑fruit backnotes appear at times, and a peppery finish can emerge; the Travesía press brings more toast and concentrated nuttiness while keeping the line’s core identity intact.
