Perez-Carrillo Pledge

Pledge is Perez‑Carrillo’s box‑pressed statement built on a Connecticut Habano wrapper with an Ecuador binder and Nicaraguan long fillers. It sits firmly on the fuller end of the spectrum: dense smoke and chewy texture emphasize black pepper, toasted oak and cedar with a backbone of dark chocolate and espresso. Baking spices and a restrained, lip‑smacking sweetness thread through the midsections while later notes trend toward earth, leather and warm fruit. The box press amplifies chew and smoke density; the Prequel’s critical acclaim (Cigar Aficionado’s top cigar for 2020) helped cement Pledge as a core, blend‑forward expression rather than a one‑off.
