La Historia is Ernesto Perez‑Carrillo’s Dominican‑made tribute: a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan long filler. The result is decidedly medium‑full—coffee and espresso form the core, backed by cocoa, cedar and a damp‑earth character. Black pepper and baking spices thread through the midsections while a restrained sweetness softens the finish. Certain vitolas, including box‑pressed and pirámide variants, amplify the wrapper’s San Andrés stamp and smoke output; that same wrapper can also introduce rustic or vegetal edges depending on vitola and age. The line’s distinct voice comes from pairing a darker Mexican wrapper with Nicaraguan fillers under an Ecuadorian binder.
