Padrón Black

Black is less a single steady line than a platform for limited, commemorative expressions—trade exclusives, charity releases and small retail runs—built from Nicaraguan wrapper, binder and filler. Sizes vary wildly from coronas to large gordos, but the house signature stays intact: an earthy backbone with roasted‑espresso and cocoa notes, black pepper on the retrohale, and cedar and leather in the mid‑palate. Strength tends to land between the 1926 Serie and Family Reserve in intensity, often leaning toward the fuller side. Construction follows Padrón's traditional standard—firm, substantial and intended for deliberate, long smokes—while the limited nature of the releases makes each Black vitola a short‑run collector's piece as much as a smoker's cigar.
