La Casita Criolla is a literal Broadleaf showcase: every leaf position features Connecticut Broadleaf, creating a dark, toothy maduro personality and dense mouthfeel. Rolled at My Father, the line presents medium strength with flavor driven by cocoa and coffee, mid‑brown cedar, leather and nutty undertones; a peppery baking‑spice lift grows as the stick warms. Texture often reads lush and creamy in the middle third, and the singular Broadleaf construction gives the cigars a consistent sweetness and earthy backbone across vitolas. The experience is unapologetically Broadleaf—immediate, slightly chewy and focused on flavor rather than subtlety.

Tatuaje La Casita Criolla HCBF (Prerelease)
This prerelease piece walks through Pete Johnson's intent to build La Casita Criolla from 100% Connecticut Broadleaf and explains how primings (seco, viso, ligero) were sorted to make the filler. Tasting commentary emphasizes a distinct Broadleaf aroma and sweet‑earth character, and the review lists the initial sizes and mouthfeel observations.
Tatuaje La Casita Criolla HCR
halfwheel's HCR review covers the Robusto's regional introductory release and explains why the 5 x 50 format was chosen to showcase the 100% Connecticut Broadleaf blend. It records construction and flavor progression — brown sugar, dry wood and pepper with marmalade aromatics — and rates the cigar in the medium strength lane with solid build notes.
