I had the highest hopes for poke here - I’d expected it to be the highlight of my holiday. Unfortunately it was disappointing and I believe the solution might be improved refrigeration. I’m writing this review with the hope that this feedback will be helpful to them. There was so much non-Ahi poke selection (scallop and taco pokes looked especially amazing) that I was tempted to try but I wanted locally caught Ahi. Despite coming in closer to closing time, their most popular pokes were still in stock. The woman behind the counter was so lovely and personable. I ordered a plate with kalua pork, lomi lomi, Shoyu poke and steamed rice (with furikake). I also ordered a half pound of the Hawaiian Style (was like limu poke (seaweed, sesame oil) plus onion). It’s also a liquor store so I bought a bottle of rosé to take back to the hotel. Kalua pig was lovely - tender, juicy with just the right amount of smoke. The lomi lomi was my favourite - great balance of fresh, sweet, acidity, salt. Unfortunately both pokes were starting to feel slimy and the flavours weren’t as clean as what they should have been (started tasting fishy). I’d kept the half pound poke in a separate bag from the warmer plate but it too was room temperature and starting to feel slimy. I wonder whether a colder display fridge would result in improved quality towards the end of the day. I didn’t feel comfortable eating the leftover pokes the next day.

Got the Tako Sesame, Pipikaula Poke Style, and Ahi Fried Garlic with Ahi Shoyu — all for just $27! So good and totally worth it! 🐙🐟

Best Poke on the island hands down. I went here three times during my trip. Ordered the Shoyu Ahi, Spicy Ahi, and the Kalua Pork. All were great. The fish was very fresh and were cut to bigger pieces than what I was used to back in CA. The Kalua pork was also very tasty. Would def go back again!

WORST experience ever in my entire life. The worker at the poke counter has a strong discrimination against us not being local and not knowing how to order. He purposely did not speak clearly, murmuring the whole time, and after a few moments that we did not understand him, he walked away. Never ever encountered anybody even more rude. There are many more good poke places so do not go to this place for poke unless you want to ruin your travel experience.

The ahi sunset was our favorite compared to the wasabi ginger poke. Both flavor were huge chunks. Much larger than foodland on cut size. Really nice people
