Public Post About Authentic Cheesesteaks As someone originally from South Philadelphia, I just wanted to respectfully share something about cheesesteaks. A traditional Philly cheesesteak is not made with roast beef. Roast beef has a completely different texture, seasoning, and flavor profile. While it may seem similar, it’s not the same thing. An authentic cheesesteak is made with: • Thinly sliced ribeye steak (or shaved steak / minute steak as an acceptable substitute) • Cooked on a flat-top grill • Lightly seasoned (usually just salt and pepper) • Chopped and folded together while cooking • Served on a fresh hoagie roll (Amoroso-style if you want to be authentic) • Topped with either Cheez Whiz, American cheese, or Provolone • Optional additions: sautéed onions (this is traditional), sometimes mushrooms or peppers depending on preference The key element is fresh shaved steak cooked to order, not deli-style roast beef placed on bread. There’s nothing wrong with roast beef sandwiches — they’re great in their own right — but calling it a cheesesteak changes the standard of what people expect, especially for those of us from Philadelphia where this sandwich originated. I’m sharing this respectfully in hopes that local spots consider offering a true steak version. There’s a big difference in quality and authenticity, and people would absolutely appreciate it.

First time I bought tacos and they don’t put anything there, no lettuce no vegetables. Not taco sauce neither! Worst service I back to the Sheetz to give me a second chance I order tacos today 13 september! now is worst the service than before!!! they were slow the cashier let the cash register alone without anyone, I was going to pay and was anybody! Then people from the kitchen a cook went to attend the cash, the guy was friendly, but was a big line like 4 persons or more waiting for food and was very slow additionally now they give me tacos with a bunch of oil all messed up worst service in all the Sheetz that i visited in PA, OH, WV and Virginia! Is really ashamed how this woman/guy ???of the kitchen can pack the tacos with all this oil! Terrible!!! My husband was in the bathroom and waiting to enter!!! Because they stopped the service while i was ordering my food. Before the service was bad but now is really incredible bad -5/10 Really I’m surprised for the poor quality of the service! Instead to be better is going worst! If is not for the gas price, don’t worth buy food here!

[[Wed.18.Oct.2023 @ 12pm]] Stopped by Sheetz at this location to grab quick lunch, ordered there TaterTot Sticks with BoomBoom Sauce. Will not be ordering them any more, the TaterTots is nothing like TaterTots, there abt 3”long, very soft and mushy so much you pick them up and it just falls apart, there is no crunch at all to them, the only thing good here was only the BoomBoom Sauce. I think they needed more cooking time so inside would get done and to put a crunch to them. Defiantly not buying any more of them…

Had the toasted Italian sub. Fantastic! Love the touch screens for ordering and the made to order food. You get only the items you choose on your sandwich, and there are plenty of toppings and sauces!
