Worst Cigar Lounge I have ever been in. And I've been in a few. First, i had to wait to get into the locked humidor then I felt very rushed in picking a cigar because they stand over you till you pick a cigar. After serving my country for 20 years I don't like patronizing a place that starts off treating me like a criminal. Then, she takes my cigar and I don't see it for another 10 minutes. What am I child? Can't I take my cigar back to the table??? Then she finally brought me my cigar and started to light it with this blow torch and I immediately grabbed it and asked if I could light my own cigar. She was hesitant but ok, let me get you some matches. I asked can't I use her lighter, hesitant again. SO NO LIGHTERS FOR THE PATRONS. If I'm going to have my cigar lit with a blow torch I'll be the one. The wrapper on my cigar split and started to unravel. So, was the cigar mis-handled? Did she accidentally drop it? Doesn't matter, it wasn't cheap. I'm actually giving this place an extra star because of the multiple lessons learned here. If I'm paying for a cigar I will never ever let it out of my sight again.

Great atmosphere, great drinks. Excellent cigars. The whole staff is amazing. Private Cellar whiskies. Great Video Poker bar, this is my happy place. But please improve the video poker pay tables. Order the sliders!

I picked up cigar smoking a couple of years back. It is to me a great way to relax and unwind. That said, there are many places where one can enjoy a nice cigar. But usually a nice cigar lounge is usually where the atmosphere is such that the whole experience can be enhanced to a much higher level. And in the short time that I've been a cigar smoker, I've visited my share of cigar lounges. But I must say, PIVAT CIGAR LOUNGE at AGUA CALIENTE CASINO in Palm Desert California, really is an amazing experience. From the moment you walk in the place just feels right. Dark wood paneling through the entire place. Plenty of comfortable seating, and tables to set down your drinks and or food. TV's to view sporting events. Outdoor seating for those who enjoy the outdoors more than the indoors. Even large heaters outside in case it's a bit chilly. They even had a guitarist playing Spanish guitar after 5pm. The hosts and hostesses are very welcoming, attentive, and professional. Paulina served us throughout our visit and she was phenomenal. Going above and beyond the call of duty. Also, being that the lounge is inside a casino, there are a few slot machines inside the place in case one wants to try out one's luck. Needless to say, I'll be coming back to PIVAT sometime in the very near future.

This is what a cigar bar should be. It is a bit on the sports bar cigar bar side. You can purchase house cigars all the way to classic and some of the higher end cigars. Need a drink, they have those also, cocktails, beer, wine. Are you on the peckish side (hungry)? You can order a meal or just have some bar food. Let me also inform you that bringing your own cigars is perfectly fine. They have a fairly wide selection, but smoke'em if you got'em. Let me just end by saying this is a very inviting cigar lounge, enter have a seat, grab a drink, and smoke to prime relaxation.

If you find yourself in Southern California towards the Palm Springs area you should definitely stop in to Agua Caliente were they have an amazing Cigar Lounge paired with a wide variety of specialty drinks such as my favorite the smoked old fashioned. The staff is friendly knowledgeable and their humidor collection goes on and on.
