Walking in, you can smell the difference in quality: not burnt paper, skunk or bubble gum, but the dry, sweet, old-fashioned potency of real tobacco in its many forms. In addition to the selection of cigars, cigarillos and rolling tobacco, they have pipes in all price ranges from corncob to briar to meerschaum, and both classic and flavored loose tobacco (actual pipe tobacco, wider cut, more moist than the stringy "pipe tobacco" sold in bags that most people roll into cigarettes). Paul's has become my favorite place to gift-shop for the discerning smoker in my life.

I’m new to cigars and have been to a few other local shops in the area and have also purchased sticks online. I popped into Paul’s for the first time and was pleasantly greeted by two gentlemen inside having fun conversation, which they included me in. The shop is well stocked and well laid out for shopping and browsing the many selections. The gentleman working gladly answered my questions as well. One thing that impressed me a lot, were the prices. Nearest I could tell, Paul’s had a price point comparable to online markets I’ve experienced. And definitely had pricing well below other local shops. I picked out a couple sticks in brands I had not tried yet and happily went on my way. This shop is fantastic and I will DEFINITELY be back soon.

Paul cigars is an unusual case. I love the location, and most of the employees are pretty kind and outgoing, But the issue is customer support. I’ve purchased cigars from Paul’s for over 15 years. But recently, I had an experience that left me wondering if they really wanted my business. He got it in a couple of boxes of special work of art Maduro AJ Fuentes cigars. I was excited to get one, because you don’t see them that often. They’re kind of a rare stick. So I purchased one and went to my local outdoor seating pub to enjoy it on a sunny warm August evening. Unfortunately, it was so tightly packed, I could not get the cigar lit. I tried using my traditional metal cigar creamer, but again, it was so packed. I could not get the rehear into the cigar. I decided to have a different cigar that evening, and put the work of our Pedro away to possibly exchange for a better cigar. When I called Paul’s, I was informed that their policy is that if a cigar is taken out of its packaging, i.e., the cellophane wrapper, it cannot be exchanged for any other product. It wouldn’t even allow me to exchange it for another work of art. They said that that is the store policy and that once it’s removed from the packaging, it is no longer eligible for return. This confuses me, because how are you supposed to know it’s a defective product that they’re selling, unless you remove it from the packaging? I would a person be able to tell that the cigar is defective if You’ve not tried it? Selling a $17 cigar that doesn’t light up isn’t a working cigar. I feel the pal needs to do better in this situation and consider returns on a case by case basis rather than a blanket statement. I’ll be buying my cigars Exclusively from cbid From now on. Thanks for the sticks. Paul’s, most of them were great!
