Just moved to the Old Port and retired from the military. I just went into this place the owner jacque was so sweet and nice and recommended great choices for wine. He gave my daughter Allison a cigar box which she absolutely loves!!!! Will definitely be back and so glad to have crossed paths with such a nice person!!! ❤️

I entered with the huge ask of helping me put together a cigar bar for my then soon approaching wedding. I knew it was a tall order, and after attempting to work with several other locations, I was so grateful that Jacques answered that he would love to help and it was easily doable! Not only did he help us source an amazing cigar collection, he also offered to provide a display case for the cigar bar. Everything came out perfectly!! Cigars arrived in time, the display case was perfect, and we were even supplied with cutters and matches. Our expectations were surpassed, our hopes fulfilled, and our guests LOVED this added touch!

Loved this place!! The man working the front (possibly the owner) was so sweet and friendly. Found some great blueberry wine here! My favorite part was the dog that came in to visit!

Old Port Wine Merchants is fantastic! They've an incredible selection and very fair and reasonable prices that are on par with the national "big box" volume wine retailers. Jacques is fabulous and I and appreciated his kindness and service. Highly recommend!
