Great selection. Iv stopped in twice in the last month since I have started smoking and the service that I have received here is truly the best service I have received in the last ten years. They help you for real. You have questions they have answers. Im not a member of the club yet but I am considering it just because of the help I have reserved here. Maybe after I grow my collection I join. But either way if smoke already or are considering your first cigar, I would say go to Monte's.

I wanted to share my recent experience at Monte’s Cigar & Pipe Tobacco. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helped guide me toward great beginner-friendly cigars. Even the customers were upbeat—some shared their own recommendations, which made the environment feel even more inviting. Before visiting Monte’s, I stopped by another cigar shop near Jefferson, but the staff there felt cold and unwelcoming, despite the shop being nearly empty. A change in attitude would definitely help their business, but I won’t be returning anytime soon—Monte’s has earned my business moving forward. I’m primarily a pipe tobacco smoker and usually order online, so it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Monte’s has a staff member who blends their own pipe tobacco. I’ll definitely be stocking up on those blends as well.

This place is awesome. I don't know a thing about cigars but wanted to treat my husband for his birthday. A wonderful gentleman -maybe the owner?- asked me a few questions to get an idea of my husband's tastes/my budget. He walked with me through the full collection and picked out his faves- while staying well within my budget. My husband was very happy with the selection and I was very happy to be treated so wonderfully in an unfamiliar place.

In My travels. I've come across a lot of places that were nice and a few that were good. Monty's is excellent, Scott and Duncan do a job that is beyond phenomenal customer services. Excellent! And you actually can feel the love when you walk in. If you're ever in Albuquerque, I don't suggest you go to Monty's. I demand that you go there and tell him Paul from Jax said hello.
