Honestly, this place is fantastic. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, and if you are new to cigars or pipes, he happily shares his wisdom and guides you in the right direction. If you come in already knowing roughly what you want, he is great at finding what will suit your wants. Quality of his tobacco is excellent, highly recommend trying this place when looking for good, high quality tobacco.

This will be one of my rare first impressions review because they deserve it! Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly; helping me through various choices without judgment plus with an open mind on my needs and what I'm looking for while enthusiastically answering my questions. While it may not be large, the shop is intelligently spaced out for their products, specifically the cigar selections with their walk-in humidor. You'll have a wide variety of loose tobacco, pipes, and cigars; with some limitation of lighters, hole punchers, and straight cutters. -Only con being lack of V cutters. Overall, I can highly recommend this shop for classy tobacco lovers, new smokers, and connoisseurs. [Update]: Came back and brought in a starter pipe set that my step-father gifted me before he passed away. I was new to pipe tobacco smoking, but the staff/owner was very kind in showing me the ropes on starting out with my pipe. So I thank the gentleman for the tips and knowledge in handling and smoking my very first pipe tobacco. I purchased their tobacco; first smoke took a bit to hang onto but adapted quickly and is one of the most pleasant smoke I've enjoyed.

I’m surprised at the amount of positive reviews. I stop in every couple years to remind myself why I dislike this place. Every time I visit I always feel glad when I’m leaving. The last time the owner kept trying to school me on why I should buy his junk. I didn’t like anything he had, but it seemed like that was not a good enough reason. And he told me he was the only tobacconist left in town, which is untrue because of course we also have 5th Avenue Cigars and, honestly, I’d rather spend my money there.

Ele, canine greeter, helps manage an excellent store for picking up fine pipes, packaged or house-blended tobacco, as well as a solid selection of cigars. The tobacconists are incredibly knowledgable and willing to pass sage advice to keep the most venerable of enthusiasts finding new ways to enjoy their experience.

This is without a doubt the best pipe and cigar shop in Alaska. You get a true sense of the tradition and experience as soon as you walk in. Whatever you're looking for in your tobacco needs, this shop has it all. Great selection of cigars/ pipes and hand blended tobaccos. If you enjoy the art of pipe smoking as I do, this place will make you smile. So glad I found this gem in Alaska!
