The lounge is open to visitors who make a purchase and the owner is very friendly and happy to help you with suggestions or finding what you need. I stopped in before a work thing and it was a great experience. The selection is better than almost every other cigar shop I have visited lately. They have some hard to find cigars and the price was very good- better than I expected. I have added this to my must visit places when I’m in town. Thanks for the relaxing smoke. Parking is not too hard. Just feed the meter.

Capitol Cigar is hands down one of the best cigar lounges anywhere in the DMV. The tobacconists here are exceptional — the best I’ve ever worked with. They never fail to help me find exactly what I’m looking for, and often surprise me with something new that becomes a favorite. The selection is top-notch, with all the latest releases and plenty of rare, hard-to-find cigars that serious smokers appreciate. They also host great events once or twice a month — always fun, social, and full of great deals. It’s a welcoming home base for cigar lovers. The crowd is friendly, the conversations easy, and if you’re local, you’ll probably run into someone you know (or almost know). The lounge has a comfortable setup with a good number of TVs for games — but they keep the focus where it should be: cigars, conversation, and community. The heart and soul of the place is Tony, the owner, leader, and visionary. He’s been a fixture in the DC cigar scene forever, and it shows. He just has the right touch — knowledgeable, genuine, and perfectly tuned to what makes a great cigar experience. Whether you’re new to the hobby or a refined aficionado, you’ll feel right at home here.

A great shop and lounge! Their humidor is packed with high-quality cigars from many different manufacturers. They even had the cigar of the year in stock during my first visit at a noninflated price. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will be back whenever I'm in town.

Welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly, not loud, clean….this is one of my favorite cigar lounges in the country, the clientele and employees are fantastic! Will definitely return when I’m back in the DC area. Pro tip: an espresso comes with a bit of excellent chocolate which is perfect if you have a strong cigar and need a little sugar to negate the buzz
