I went into ABC to find pear liqueur. .When they said they didn’t have it I walked over to the other liqueurs and tried to find something else that would suit my purposes-I wanted to serve it over lemon sorbet for dessert as I have done in the past. I became frustrated as I didn’t know what some of the flavors were And when I turned to the front counter to ask for help, I see three workers talking and laughing-no one offered to help me so I asked if someone could help me. The woman immediately said she was writing up an order and thought that was more important than helping a customer in the store. And again they said what are you looking for and again I said pear liqueur , and again they said we don’t have it, at which point I said we’ll cant someone help me to tell me what these other flavors are? No one seemed eager to help me. And the gentleman who came over, really didn’t understand what I needed, and so I left and went to Total wine where they had exactly what I needed. My understanding is that this is a retail business where the goal is to sell merchandise. Wouldn’t it have been logical when they realize they didn’t have what I wanted to say.” let me help you to see if there’s something else that we can provide”. This is poor management and I will think twice before going in again
