I am writing this review to document a serious customer-service and professionalism issue at this ABC Liquor location. I entered the store to purchase cigars for an upcoming cruise and was assisted by an elderly associate who was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He provided helpful recommendations, and I ultimately purchased approximately $50 worth of cigars. His service was the only positive aspect of this visit. Because I was traveling, I asked if I could have an empty cigar box to safely pack my cigars. The associate informed me that cigar boxes were handled by the store manager. When the manager, Emily, rang me out, I politely asked for a cigar box. She immediately refused. When I mentioned that there were numerous empty cigar boxes visible in the store, she stated that she fills them with shots and gives them to family members. This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, particularly given the size of my purchase. Although I was frustrated, I completed the transaction due to time constraints related to my upcoming cruise. I calmly explained to Emily that the interaction left me feeling disrespected and that I intended to leave feedback about my experience. After exiting the store and getting into my car, my significant other asked why someone was walking behind me. The manager, Emily, had followed me outside to confront me. She stated that I was inappropriate for mentioning a review and then attempted to insist that I take a cigar box. I declined. Being followed out to my vehicle by a store manager was alarming, unnecessary, and crossed a professional boundary. This incident raises concerns about inconsistent policy enforcement, misuse of store resources, and customer safety. Following a customer outside to confront them is unacceptable behavior in any retail environment. I will not be returning to this location. I strongly encourage corporate leadership to review this incident and provide appropriate training and oversight to prevent similar situations in the future.

I wait in line with my few items and I am behind a Russian man who wanted me to go behind the counter to get two bottles of liquor for him. LOL, I told him I did not work there. He had already had a few too many. He fussed for 3 minutes about his liquor being behind the counter. The overall Store was in a very well Organized manner. Nice Cashier and helpful. But, she could have used a hand with the lady in the office.

Decent selection, but not the best. The staff was unfriendly and uptight. They had an attitude like they're from the Bronx or something. I'm glad I live on the other side of town and this isn't my regular store.

On 1/3/26 at 5:57 PM staff carded me but not my friend who looks older and who purchased the beverages. How’s that for compliance?
