I would use CAUTION when purchasing food and perishable items from this location. I work for a delivery company and I am required to scan barcodes and check the dates of certain items. My customer ordered this cheese and with her alcohol and wine order. I picked the one on top up and turned it over to scan it into the order and noticed the pink line across the bar code. I flipped it back over, saw the $1 ticket and flipped it over to check the date. Over a month expired. Today is March 27, 2024 and this expires February 24, 2024. I handed it to the cashier and said "hey this is over a month expired" and she replied with "oh ya honey, that's why it's just a dollar" 🤯 I was shocked. I asked "so you sell expires food?" and she replied "Yes. Hey I just work here" and shrugged her shoulders. Now don't get me wrong I have gone in here MULTIPLE times and shopped and all the employees are very very nice and always go above and beyond to help me find what I'm looking for but selling expired food is NOT okay. I also asked another employee who seemed a bit more knowledgeable. I thought the cashier was maybe new or something and he confirmed they have been instructed several times to mark down already expired items. I can't understand if it's MAYBE a day or so but OVER A MONTH is unacceptable. This has nothing to do with the employees who are just being told what to do by their higher up and I understand that but it's absolutely unacceptable on behalf of the owner and/or manager who is running this location. 😔 I'm not trying to leave a "bad" review but I definitely want people to be cautious when purchasing. Check the dates of any food and perishables to make sure they're not expired prior to purchasing.
