ESG was conceived as a tasting‑first, collectible Dominican puro built from very mature estate tobaccos and a rare sun‑grown wrapper from Chateau de la Fuente. The result is an initially plush, creamy opening — graham‑cracker and molasses sweetness with cedar and cocoa support — that tightens into insistent black pepper and Dominican spice as the cigar develops, a transition some tasters call a “Velvet Hammer.” Texture is smooth and generous and construction leans toward a firm, well‑packed draw when production is spot‑on.
